For the most part, women make Valentine’s Day the living hell that it is. Not men. Yes ladies, you heard me right…you do.

You RUIN what could potentially be a beautiful day by doing one thing – EXPECTING. If you expect roses on Valentine’s Day, if you expect a gift, if you expect ANYTHING for that matter, guess what? You are making OBLIGATIONS for your partner. YOU ARE FORCING YOUR SILLY, MATERIALISTIC WILL ON THIS PERSON YOU CLAIM TO LOVE. NO ONE wants to feel like they HAVE to do something because there will be negative consequences otherwise.

With your whining, bitching, and nagging, about what he should know, what he should give you, what your friend received last year, you slowly, painfully, and surely MURDER this day, and your man’s desire to do ANYTHING other than make sure he doesn’t piss you off. Ask yourself, is this what you want?

One more time – IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?

Some empty act only done to avoid a certain consequence?

On Sunday, I noticed two types of whiners – women & men who were painfully and obviously single complaining about the lack of meaning and validity of Valentine’s Day – you know, the bitter, selfish people who can’t stand to see ANYONE happy unless they are happy. The ones that believe NO RELATIONSHIP will ever work because they are relationship defuncts and keep fucking up over and over again, in the same way. The ones that instead of LEARNING from the successful relationships around them, rather pretend they are above and beyond such a trivial day, when inside they are DYING for a goddamn hug and some chocolates. The second group were men complaining about how materialistic Valentine’s Day is, how it was nothing more than another day for women to basically practice EXTORTION on their men. And guess what? I completely agree with them. You silly ass birds sure know how to ruin a good thing.

WOMEN – Do you know, rather, UNDERSTAND, what the word GIFT means? It is not a synonym for obligation. Your man, your brother, your father, your guy friend, ANY member in your life with a penis – doesn’t HAVE to give you anything on Valentine’s Day. You should not expect ANYTHING, not dinner, not flowers. NOTHING. What your stupid ass should be doing, if you care so much about Valentine’s Day, is GIVING to your man. If you want Valentine’s Day to be romantic, THEN MAKE IT ROMANTIC. If you want to go out to dinner, then pick up the fucking phone, make a reservation, and take YOUR MAN OUT TO DINNER.

LEARN TO GIVE.

If your man gives you a flower he picked on the street for Valentine’s Day, don’t be a cliche, boring ass bitch and be pissed that he didn’t spend $60 fucking dollars on some crappy roses that are SO FACTORY and UNORIGINAL. HE THOUGHT OF YOU. Be grateful. Those little things are steps to the bigger things.

For the pity party bitches – seriously, why do you EXPECT that anyone HAS to give you SHIT on Valentine’s? And when you don’t get anything, you condemn all men, and threaten to not give up the sex. EX-FUCKING-TORTION. Do you really think this makes you more desirable? That some guy is going to hear your bitter rant and say…OH WAO THAT’S THE WOMAN FOR ME?

I’m sorry but, this is when it is DISAPPOINTING as a woman to see other women, some who are supposed to “know better” and be “smarter” than that, completely devolve or mutate, or whatever you want to call it, into some selfish, self centered, clueless, spoiled harpies.

Yes, I said it. SPOILED. No one owes you shit. NO ONE. Not even your man. What he gives you, including his love, is because, and should be because, he WANTS to give it to you. Because it makes him happy to make you happy. Not because he knows that if he doesn’t buy you fucking roses, chocolates, diamonds and dinner, you are going to throw a hissy fit, get pissed, and not have sex with him.

Valentine’s Day is about LOVE, so instead of sitting around EXPECTING & EXTORTING, why don’t YOU take your lazy, spoiled, ungrateful ass and show those you say you LOVE, that you love them. Your lover, your child, your mother, your friend.

And spare us the nagging, the whining, please spare us. Not only because I’d rather hear silence, but because as a woman, you are doing ALL OF us a disservice.
